The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has launched a detailed investigation into Ola Electric following over 10,000 consumer complaints. Issues include delayed deliveries, slow repairs, and unresolved service promises. Ola claims to have addressed 99.1% of complaints, but CCPA’s findings suggest otherwise, with allegations of aggressive complaint closures and deceptive advertising. The CCPA has tasked the Bureau of Indian Standards to conduct a technical inquiry, with results expected soon. Depending on the findings, Ola could face penalties or product recalls. This comes as Ola’s stock hovers near record lows, adding pressure on the EV giant.
